Matrix Enterprises machines and manufactures prototype and production tooling, molds, and mandrels for various fabrication applications. These include:
- Carbon fiber, fiberglass, and other composite layup production
- Vacuumforming and thermoforming
- Pressure forming
- Compression molding
Using CAD/CAM and engineering expertise, Matrix can design tooling and mold surfaces based on your part files, or we can work directly from customer-supplied tooling or mold files. We use CNC machining to manufacture the tooling and molds and can provide the required mold surface finish for your specific application.
We work with a wide range of materials including:
- Aluminum
- Epoxy and Urethane Tooling Boards (Renshape, Rampf, Trelleborg, and others)
- Tooling Foam
- MDF and Wood
- Plastics
- Proprietary materials supplied by customers including ceramics and composites
Tooling and molds will be highly accurate. Using coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and highly accurate laser scanning capabilities, Matrix can assure a high degree of accuracy for your tools and molds.
