Matrix has waterjet capabilities which can be used for many different applications. For some 2D applications a waterjet can provide similar results to CNC machining, but can do so significantly faster, especially for metallics as well as highly abrasive composite material like carbon fiber and fiberglass.
Common materials include:
- Composites including carbon fiber, graphite, kevlar, G10, and fiberglass
- Metallics including aluminum, steel, and stainless
- Plastic sheets
- Some foams
- Honeycomb structural core
Waterjet and CNC machining services can be used in tandem to tackle specific challenges that may arise when using either method exclusively.
