Prototypes can take many forms and be manufactured many different ways depending on requirements. Sometimes they can be synonymous with models, but almost always intended as a first article to understand form, fit, function, and/or appearance. All of these capabilities are in-house which allows for a rapid turnaround and confidentiality of customer projects. We work with our customers to understand their requirements and can provide our manufacturing and materials expertise to help you realize your prototypes.
In cases where the prototype developed has a specialized function they can become great candidates for low-volume production. Specifically in cases where the annual quantity requirements are low, more production oriented manufacturing processes like injection molding just do not make sense. And often, manufacturers focused on large volumes of parts are set up or interested in short runs as their processes are designed for repeatability.
